How this site counts its visitors.
This notice covers enpet.ai, the site you are reading, operated by ENPET LLC of Acton, Massachusetts, United States. The products a business or a pet parent signs in to have their own privacy policy. Last updated 5 September 2026.
- No cookies, no pixels, no third parties.
- Your address is hashed the moment a request arrives and is never stored.
- Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are honoured.
- Hashed rows are kept 120 days; only daily totals are kept longer.
What is collected
Four things, and what each is for.

All of it goes to a collector we run ourselves, inside our own Akamai Cloud account, which writes one row per request. The dashboard that reads those rows is reachable only from our own network and behind a password.
Your address
Used for a moment, never written down.
Your network address reaches the collector with every request, and is used three ways in the instant it arrives: to make a salted hash (so that repeat visits from the same address can be counted as one visitor without knowing the address), to look up a city-level location, and to throttle abuse from memory. Then it is gone. It is not written to a row, a file, a log or a backup, and the edge proxy in front of this site keeps no access log for it.
The salt is a random secret that lives only inside the collector and is replaced every 120 days, so a hash from one period cannot be linked to visits in the next. The hash cannot be turned back into an address.
Do Not Track · Global Privacy Control
A signal is a signal.
If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the page never sends its beacon, and the request is recorded as a number for the day and nothing else: no row, no hash, no location, no browser details. This is applied on the server too, so it holds even when the page's script does not run.
How to turn either signal on: in Firefox, Settings › Privacy & Security › Website Privacy Preferences; in Brave, it is on by default; in Chrome and Safari, extensions such as Privacy Badger send Global Privacy Control.
How long
Rows for a season, totals for good.
- 120 days for the per-request rows (hashed, no address), after which they are deleted.
- Indefinitely for daily totals: page views, visitors, requests, top pages, top countries. Numbers, not people.
- Indefinitely for a compressed archive of past rows, with the same hashes and no address, used to compare seasons. Because the salt is replaced every 120 days, archived hashes cannot be matched to current traffic.
- Email stays in our mailbox as long as the conversation is useful, or until you ask us to delete it.
Not collected
What this site does not do.
- No cookies, no local-storage identifiers, no fingerprinting.
- No advertising trackers, no marketing pixels, no third-party scripts, no fonts or images from anyone else's servers.
- No tracking across other sites, and no data given or sold to anyone.
- No account is needed to read this site, and nothing here asks you to create one.

Your rights
Ask, and a person answers.
Access, correction, deletion
For anything we hold that identifies you (in practice, email you sent us or a contact-form message), write to the address below and it is done. The analytics rows cannot be linked to a person, by us or by anyone: there is nothing in them to return.
Withdrawal of consent
The analytics need no consent because they identify no one; a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal is still honoured. For email, ask and we delete the thread.
Complaints
Write to us first. In Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information; in the rest of Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Requests, questions and complaints about personal information go to admin@enpet.ai, which reaches the person in charge of the protection of personal information at enpet. We reply within 30 days, and usually within a few.
Hosting: Akamai Cloud, in our own account; Akamai provides the machines and the object storage and does not read the data. Email: Microsoft 365 for our mailbox, and SendGrid to forward what the contact form receives. There is no other processor for this website. When this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
