The agent era

Your customers are getting assistants. Be the business they can find and book.

Soon a pet parent's assistant will do the finding and the booking. Whose calendar it lands in depends on whether a machine can read your business and transact with it safely. enpet was built for both.

  • Legible to machines, warm to people
  • Asks before it acts
  • English & Français (CA)

An illustration of the agent gateway, which is in development. The assistant is generic on purpose; nothing in this exchange is live yet. What enpet's own companion does today is shown below.

Why now

Discovery is moving from screens to assistants.

Assistants like those from Google, OpenAI, Perplexity and Anthropic already read the web, compare options and fill in forms for people. The next step is booking. When it arrives, a business that assistants cannot read or safely book is a business they will route around.

Legible

An assistant needs facts it can trust: services, prices, hours, what you require, where you go. Not a PDF menu and a phone number.

Safe to transact with

It needs a way to book that cannot break your rules: your availability, your deposits, your vaccine gates, your right to approve first.

Still yours

Every one of those bookings should land in your calendar, labelled, under your control, with the parent's consent behind it. The assistant is a channel, not an owner.

Three layers

What is live today, layer by layer.

Findable, bookable, run by agents. Under each, the shipped features you can use this afternoon; where something is still in development, it is marked as such.

Findable

Can an assistant find you, and trust what it finds?

  • Live today
  • A public booking page per businessYour services, openings and prices on a page you can hand to anyone, or to any assistant.
  • Pages that read cleanlyLive status, visit stories, invoices and confirmations are plain pages a person or an assistant can open from a text, with no app and no login.
  • Required, validated contact detailsA business address, phone and email are required and checked at registration; a mobile groomer's home address is never shown to the public, parents find them by service area instead.
  • Both languagesEnglish and Canadian French on every client-facing page, chosen per person.
  • Business pages machines can readYour booking page carries schema.org data, services with prices, listed locations and hours, a rating from parents who agreed to share it, a mobile business shows its service area and never a home address, a sitemap lists the businesses that opted in, and every private page is marked noindex.

Bookable

Can a booking be made safely without a phone call?

Live today

The sentence is already a booking.

This is enpet's own companion, on the staff side, as it works now: the sentence becomes a confirm card with the pet, service, time and price resolved from your records, and nothing is written until someone clicks. The agent gateway extends the same guarded path to a parent's assistant.

Agent-ready this afternoon

Six things you can do in enpet today.

Being readable by an assistant starts with being explicit. Each of these is a shipped feature; each one also makes you easier for a person to choose.

  1. 1

    Publish your real prices

A catalogue with a price on every service and add-on, and rules that explain every surcharge. An assistant that cannot find a price will not book.

    Where this lives
  2. 2

    State your vaccine requirements

Per species, with warn-or-block at booking. The rule an assistant can read is the rule that protects your other clients.

    Where this lives
  3. 3

Set a deposit and a cancellation policy

Deposits suggested where no-show risk is high; a cancellation policy the booking page shows before anyone commits.

    Where this lives
  4. 4

Keep hours, locations and contact details current

Phone, email and a business address are required and validated at registration, and every page you send reads from them; a mobile business is found by service area, never by its home address.

    Where this lives
  5. 5

    Hand out your booking link

Put your public booking page in your Google profile, your signature and your voicemail greeting. Today, that link is how an assistant finds you.

    Where this lives
  6. 6

    Turn on both languages

Canadian French on every client page, chosen per person, so an assistant working in French gets the same answers.

    Where this lives

Rather have it done for you, website included? An enpet Site is a website generated from your record, hosted on your domain, available now and built with you, starting with a free agent-readiness audit.

Coming soon

The rules, published before the feature.

One thing is still in development for the agent era. Here is exactly what it will and will not do, so nobody has to guess, and so you can hold us to it. Machine-readable business pages, once listed here, shipped on 5 September 2026 and now sit under Findable above.

The agent gateway

A parent's assistant will be able to ask your business a question and book a visit by talking to enpet's agent, under rules you set, with the same guardrails as every other booking.

Emails admin@enpet.ai. We reply when it ships; nothing else is sent.

What it will do

  • Answer an assistant's questions about your hours, prices, policies and vaccine requirements from your own record.
  • Offer real openings and take a booking, a change or a cancellation, through the same guarded path as any other booking, with deposits where you require them.
  • Let you choose, per service, whether agent bookings are accepted automatically, held for your approval, or not accepted at all; approval is the default.
  • Identify the parent through their own enpet account and consent, never through a guessed name or a bare phone number.
  • Label every agent booking as such in the calendar and in reports, so you can see what this channel brings you.
  • Work with any assistant that follows the open standards for connecting to services; no assistant is a partner or a gatekeeper.

What it will not do

  • Hand out client or pet details to an assistant that has not been given consent by that parent.
  • Take a payment on its own; card numbers stay with Stripe and the checkout you already use.
  • Book anything your rules would refuse to a person.

The AI voice receptionist, also in development, is the same gateway over the phone.

Questions

What owners ask about assistants.

Can an assistant book with my business today?

Yes, the way a person would: through your public booking page, which any assistant that can browse the web can complete. Direct agent-to-agent booking, where a parent's assistant talks to enpet's agent and the booking is held for your approval, is the agent gateway on this page. It is in development and is not part of any plan yet.

Will I lose control of my calendar?

No. The gateway is being built so that agent bookings are held for your approval by default, per service; you can switch a service to automatic acceptance or to no agent bookings at all. Deposits apply where you require them, and every agent booking is labelled as one in the calendar and in reports.

Which assistants will it work with?

Any assistant that follows the open standards for connecting to services. We name Google, OpenAI, Perplexity and Anthropic on this page only as examples of where the market is going; none of them is a partner, and none is a gatekeeper to your business.

What will a parent's assistant be able to see?

Only what that parent has consented to share from their own enpet account, and only what you have chosen to publish about your business. Nothing about other clients or pets. The gateway will not hand out a client's contact details to anyone.

Is enpet's own AI live today?

Yes. The staff companion, the parent concierge, inbox triage and drafts, voicemail transcription, predictions, pricing intelligence and vision are shipped and described on the AI page. Only the items marked “coming soon” on this site are not.

Be explicit today. Be bookable by assistants when they arrive.

Publish your prices, state your rules, hand out your booking link. The gateway will find you ready.
